Marco Fichera
Marco Fichera was born in Catania on 4 September 1993.
From an early age he showed great aptitude for sport and, in particular, for the discipline of fencing. About ten years old he started attending the gym of the Acireale Fencing Club directed by professor Manzoni, under the technical guidance of maestro Domenico Patti. After a few months he successfully participated in the first regional and national competitions in the under 14 category.
Over the years, followed with the utmost attention by the master Patti, able to bring out and develop the athlete's technical characteristics, he started competing in international competitions too.
The successes achieved by Marco attract the attention of the Sports Groups and in 2011 the Polizia di Stato Gruppo Sportivo Fiamme Oro included him in his own roles. Graduated in 2012 at the Liceo Scientifico with a score of 98/100, he continued his studies in Milan in the Faculty of Political Science.
From January 2013 he moved to Milan and began a new technical path under the guidance of Maestro Andrea Candiani who still follows him, also taking advantage of the skills of the athletic trainer Andrea Lo Coco and that of the Mental Coach Dr. Luigi Mazzone.
